Adah Chapter No. 49, Order of the Eastern Star, is a Constituted Chapter under the jurisdiction of the Grand Chapter of the State of Mississippi.

It is a social, fraternal, and charitable Organization whose membership is open to both men and women with a Masonic affiliation.

All Master Masons in good standing within the Masonic Fraternity and their female relatives as listed below are eligible for membership.

Wives, daughters, legally adopted daughters, mothers, widows, sisters, half-sisters, daughters-in-law, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, great-granddaughters, nieces, great nieces, mothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and Rainbow girls and Jobs Daughter who have a three membership or a certificate of Majority membership.

All who petition for membership into the Order of the Eastern Star must be at least eighteen years old and must be recommended by two members.
